Model United Nations (MUN)

Model United Nations (MUN)

Model United Nations (MUN) is a programme which is practiced by many schools and universities across the world. MUN is an invaluable tool in portraying how serious current global issues are as well as displaying the blessings surrounding us today. This is essential for students as it allows them to develop a greater understanding about our world and our society as whole, in hopes that one day they can be a driving force of positive change globally.

MUN provides students with an opportunity to debate these issues with students from both local and international schools; such experiences are immensely enriching for the student, allowing them to develop certain skills such as; communication, empathy, confidence, perception, public speaking and research. These skills are not exclusive to the proximities of a committee room, seeing as they will remain with students as they embark on their own personal endeavors.

Since its establishment in 2015, AKISMUN has shown improvement on an annual basis. With approximately 200 active members from both the CBSE and BC curricula, this year has been record-breaking for our MUN programme.

This year’s objective is to maintain the same, high level of professionalism in our conference as well as providing an ECA which is highly informative and beneficial for all our delegates.
