Admissions at AKIS

Admission to AKIS is exclusively for:

  • school aged children of QatarEnergy LNG direct hire employees residing in Al Khor Community (AKC),in accordance with the provisions of the QatarEnergy LNG HR policy

  • school aged children of QatarEnergy LNG direct hire employees residing outside AKC and whose work location is Ras Laffan or Al Khor, upon endorsement from QatarEnergy LNG HR

  • school aged children of AKIS employees, in accordance with the provisions of the AKIS HR policy.

The Admissions Office is open from Sunday to Thursday between 7am-3pm. 

Guidelines for Parents

Entry Requirements

Below are the documents required for enrolment:

    • Letter of employment from the student's sponsor (parent):

      • Letter of employment for Qatargas eligible employees residing in AKC with Qatar address

      • Letter of employment for AKIS eligible employees with Qatar address

      • Endorsement letter for Qatargas eligible employees (Ras Laffan based and residing in Al Khor/ Al Dakhira)

    • Colour passport size photograph (child) in .jpg format

    • Copy of both sides of the child’s Resident Permit (QID)

    • Copy of passport image and personal information pages of child's passport

    • Birth certificate

    • For Year 2+ applicants, an attested copy of the most recent school report (translated in English)*

    • Immunisation/ vaccination records

    • Copy of both sides of the child’s Hamad Medical Card 

    • Copy of both sides of the sponsor’s QID

    • Copy of passport image and personal information pages of sponsor’s passport

    • Copy of the other parent’s passport

    • Copy of both sides of the other parent’s QID.

    • Copy of passport image and personal information pages of sponsor’s passport

    • Copy of the other parent’s passport

    • Copy of both sides of the other parent’s QID.

*The latest school report should be signed and stamped by the school principal and attested by the Ministry of Education, and Qatar Embassy of the issuing country then attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Qatar for students coming from overseas. Ministry of Education and Higher Education attestation is required for school reports issued in the State of Qatar.
