Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE)

AKIS is fully licensed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar and has been awarded the Qatar National School Accreditation (QNSA) for a period of five years; the maximum given.

Council of International Schools (CIS)

AKIS is CIS Internationally Accredited, demonstrating that it meets internationally recognised standards and is committed to continuous improvement. This accreditation reflects the school's dedication to providing a high-quality international education that prepares students to thrive as global citizens.

Council of British International Schools (COBIS)

AKIS is an Accredited Member, having successfully met the UK Government's British Schools Overseas (BSO) standards through an inspection conducted by a UK Government-approved inspectorate.

British Schools in the Middle East (BSME)

AKIS is a member of BSME (British Schools in the Middle East), a quality-assured network that promotes educational excellence through professional development, collaboration, accreditation, and a range of inter-school academic, sporting, and cultural opportunities.

British Schools Overseas (BSOs)

AKIS is a British School Overseas (BSOs) accredited by the UK Department for Education. Following a rigorous inspection by a government-approved inspectorate and quality assured by OFSTED, this accreditation recognises the school's commitment to delivering high-quality British education that meets internationally recognised standards.

The school's CBSE affiliation recognises its adherence to established standards for academic excellence, governance, and educational quality. It underscores our commitment to providing students with a rigorous curriculum within a framework of continuous quality assurance and best practice.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

Inspections

AKIS undergoes regular independent inspections to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of its teaching and learning, governance, policies, and student welfare provision against internationally recognised standards. Following its most recent inspection by the Council of International Schools in December 2025, AKIS successfully renewed its accreditation, meeting or exceeding all 59 standards and reaffirming its commitment to excellence across every aspect of school life.
