Distinction in International Physics Olympiad 2023

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, AKIS student, Youssef Ashraf Abdul Rahim represented Qatar in the International Physics Olympiad held in Japan. Youssef won bronze on behalf of the State of Qatar's team, which was supervised by physics mentors in the Ministry's Educational Guidance Department. Youssef commented, "I am honoured to be Qatar's first medalist in the International Physics Olympiad. I owe much of this achievement to the dedication and effort of my professors during our training program. I hope that this will set a precedent for Qatar's future success in physics olympiads." Youssef is now pursuing his passion for science at Imperial College, London.
